Dasher

It’s Sunday. The weekend is over, but we had a wonderful time in Eastern Washington spending the weekend with friends and family. In just the short time we were gone, the leaves have really changed back at home. The reds, oranges, yellows, and browns are giving me inspiration for some new projects!

Speaking of new projects, I thought I would show off Dasher! He is so cute and he is so versitile!

I used Chocolate Chip and Old Olive as my base colors. Merry Moments DSP with a scallop punch are in the background. I used craft ink (chocolate chip) for Dasher, and a mistletoe ribbon on the bottom. The inside is stamped with a Christmas sentiment in Whisper White.

Off for the weekend!

I know I promised cute Sesame Street lollipops today, but time is running out and I still have a list a mile long before we head over the mountains.

So, I will leave you with this. A spring time stamp set with the right colors can make this set work in any season.

Its time to think about the Holidays!

Happy Thursday! Why is it so happy? Well, I got to come home early to spend the afternoon with my little one. And while she is napping, I’m making some SUPER cute Sesame Street punch characters for Halloween…I will post them tomorrow. Also, we are outta here for the weekend! Yay! We are taking a trip over the mountains to visit some friends for the weekend. Snow was lurking a few days ago, so we might see our first glimpse of the white stuff!

Stampin’ Up! just released a new Holiday Gift Giving Guide that really has me thinking about what I will be giving this year. The best part, if I buy $50 from this guide between November 1 and December 31, I get a free Decor Elements piece! Wasn’t I just saying I wanted a few for my new craft room?? Score!

I really like the new flocked paper from the Holiday Catalog! Its different from any other paper SU offers. Another fun addition to this card is Shimmer Paint! I bought a bottle from the travel section of the grocery store, added some rubbing alcohol and some shimmer paint, then shook it up and sprayed it on my pre-textured paper. It gives a pretty sparkly look that you can only really appreciate in person. Also, the new ornament punch coordinates perfectly with this paper!

Its awesome! With the turn of the handle, I have embossed paper, cute little die cuts, and super embellished crafts. Embossing is my for-the-moment favorite. It enables me to make a really quick and simple card that looks great!

Goblin Goodies

Welcome!

I finally have my blog up and running. Its been a tough few weeks making what seem to be simple decisions for this site, but really, these little decisions dictate the whole page. And, I must say, this site is a work in progress.

The big reason why my blog wasnt up sooner is that I was having so much MORE fun playing in my craft room! Yes, its finally done! I have a few more organizational dreams for the room like the ink organizer in this awesome craft room and some decor elements like these:

I’ll get there. Soon enough, my room will be ready for at least 4 crafty chicks to pile in and work comfortably. And that was my ultimate goal.
